Corner Brook RNC constable suspended after conviction


Constable Noelle Laite has been suspended from the RNC without pay after a Provincial Court conviction.


On Friday Chief Patrick Roche suspended Laite who was charged with assault, assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and choking. The charges stemmed from an investigation conducted by the SIRT-NL.


Following the incident, Laite was placed on administrative duties immediately and remained on administrative duties pending the outcome of the court proceedings.


The charges were related to an incident with her partner. The two lived together in Pasadena.
