Cloudy skies will dominate across most of Newfoundland tonight, with a chance of showers early this evening transitioning to flurries overnight, especially across central and eastern regions.

There is also a risk of freezing drizzle in some areas, which could create slippery conditions.

Winds will shift to the north and strengthen, gusting between 40 and 50 km/h, adding a noticeable chill.

Temperatures will drop below freezing across much of the island, with lows ranging from about 0°C on the south coast to -7°C on the Northern Peninsula, and wind chills making it feel closer to -10 to -14 overnight.

Some southern and southwestern areas will see partial clearing later tonight, but most regions remain unsettled into the overnight period.

Skies will turn partly cloudy across most of Labrador tonight, with any lingering snow ending early this evening.

It will be a cold night province-wide, with temperatures dropping to between -10°C and -20°C, coldest in western and central areas like Churchill Falls.

Winds will be north to northwest at 20 km/h with gusts up to 40, easing later this evening, but still producing wind chills near -17 to -25 overnight.

Some coastal areas may see a few early flurries before clearing, but most regions trend drier as the night goes on.
