Contracts awarded road work on the Avalon Peninsula

The provincial government has awarded two contracts to complete roadwork on highways on the southern Avalon Peninsula.

One contract is to upgrade and repave approximately 10 kilometres of Southern Shore Highway (Route 10), between Cappahayden and Portugal Cove South.

The second is to upgrade and repave approximately 10 kilometres of Salmonier Line (Route 90) between the Trans-Canada Highway and Salmonier Nature Park.

For both contracts, work includes replacing culverts, paving, ditching, and installing guide rails.

Both projects are anticipated to be completed during this construction season.
