St. John’s will begin construction of a new 2.6 km shared-use path connecting Airport Heights to the Paul Reynolds Community Centre on Monday. The project is scheduled to conclude in fall 2026.
The finished path will be approximately three metres wide and will replace sidewalks in certain areas and align with existing trails.
During construction, residents can expect traffic delays, lane reductions, and sidewalk closures in the work area.
To complete the work, some trees and shrubs must be removed along the route. However, new trees and shrubs will be replanted.
