Construction starting today on Roaches Line

Beginning today, construction crews will be mobilizing to the Roaches Line area.

Exit 31 from the Trans-Canada Highway eastbound to Route 70/75 northbound will be closed. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour signage via Brigus Junction to access Route 70/75 northbound.

Vehicles exiting Mahers Cabin Access Road will not be permitted to turn left onto Route 70/75 northbound. A detour via Brigus Junction, following posted signage, will be in effect.

Drivers travelling from Route 70/75 southbound to Route 1 eastbound may experience alternating single-lane traffic through the Roaches Line underpass. Access will be maintained at all times; however, minor delays may occur.

Drivers are advised of the following traffic impacts during this period.

Traffic control measures will be in place until August 31, 2026.
