Concerned citizen stops an impaired driver
On Wednesday evening the RNC responded to a report of an intoxicated person at a bar in Mount Pearl.
The male left the bar and tried to drive away but was stopped by a concerned citizen.
When officers arrived they took the man into custody and he was charged with impaired driving. The man provided breath samples that were over the legal limit.
The 53-year-old was released from custody and will appear in court at a later date for impaired driving and having a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg/100 ml of blood.
