Commercial building destroyed in early morning fire in Donovan’s Industrial Park

A building was engulfed in flames in Donovan’s Industrial Park early Tuesday morning. The St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to reports of a commercial structure fire on Dundee Avenue shortly before 5 AM.

Fire crews battled the blaze throughout the morning and into the afternoon, working diligently to extinguish the fire and cool hotspots. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Six fire departments from the St. John’s Regional Fire Department were on the scene, including units from Central, West End, Brookfield, Mount Pearl, Kenmount, and Paradise, with over 20 firefighters engaged in firefighting efforts.

Smoke from the fire was visible across various parts of Mount Pearl as the incident unfolded.
