Commemorating the Labrador Flag

Minister of Labrador Affairs and Minister of Environment and Climate Change Lisa Dempster is participating in celebrations to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Labrador flag.

Celebrations begin at 6:00 pm today, with a reception, live musical entertainment and flag-raising ceremony at the Labrador Interpretation Centre in North West River.

On Saturday, Dempster will attend a flag-raising ceremony at the North West River Beach Festival taking place at Lester Burry Memorial Park. She will be joined by Perry Trimper, MHA for Lake Melville, Parliamentary Assistant to the Premier and Parliamentary Secretary for Veterans and Military Relations, along with local dignitaries and special musical entertainers.
