Come Home mural to be created on Harvey Road

Earlier this week the City of St. John's and the provincial government announced a design concept and funding for a "Come Home" mural for Harvey Road.

The mural will celebrate the meaning of home to the people of Newfoundland and Labrador including Indigenous people, newcomers, and multigenerational families.

Artists Lily Taylor and Molly Margaret will create the mural.

The City has committed $19,500 for this project which is supported by the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador providing $24,500 through the Come Home 2022 Cultural Funding Program.

The artists have taken a digital approach to the creation of the mural. Their design will be adhered to thin aluminum panels, with the installation of the panels scheduled to take place in spring 2023 on Harvey Road.
