Collision involving metro bus temporarily closed main thoroughfare in downtown St John's on Monday night

At approximately 9:50 p.m, On Monday night, Emergency services responded to reports of a motor vehicle collision on Military Road in the area of Rawlin's Cross.


Upon arrival, Emergency personnel located a sedan with significant damage, left disabled in the roadway and a metro bus crashed into a snow-bank, striking a small metal fence.


When Newfoundnews arrived, NL Health Services paramedics were going around assessing individuals for any possible injuries, but it appeared that no one was injured and paramedics left a short time after, but it's unclear if a other ambulance was on the scene prior to our arrival.


Military Road was closed from Rawlin's Cross to Knight Street for some time, while police could clear the scene.
