At approximately 6:00 p.m. on Monday, emergency personnel responded to reports of a collision on Peacekeepers Way between Foxtrap Access Road and Minerals Road.

Crews arrived to find two vehicles, a Honda Civic and a Chevy Blazer with extensive damage. The collision closed both lanes on Peacekeepers Way between both overpasses.

Officers from the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, along with NLHS paramedics and Conception Bay South Fire Department, also attended the scene.

One person sustained what appeared to be a cut to their head. It is currently unknown the exact number of the others' injuries or if anyone was taken to hospital as a result.

The highway later reopened to one lane of traffic alternating back and forth.

If more information does become available, it will be provided.
