Cold conditions dominate across Newfoundland and Labrador today, with a mix of sun, clouds, snow, and gusty winds.

In Labrador, it’s a frigid day overall. Labrador City and Churchill Falls are near minus 29°C under mainly sunny skies. Happy Valley–Goose Bay is a bit milder at minus 22°C with some cloud cover, while Nain reaches minus 17°C, seeing a mix of sun and cloud with a risk of flurries.

Across Newfoundland, temperatures are less extreme but still well below freezing. Corner Brook sits near minus 10°C with flurries or snow squalls and windy conditions. Central areas, including Gander and Grand Falls–Windsor, are also around minus 10°C, with flurries possible.

Along the south coast, Channel-Port aux Basques is near minus 7°C, while Marystown is closer to minus 6°C, both experiencing snow and gusty winds. On the northeast coast, St. Anthony is colder at minus 16°C with snow or snow squalls, while St. John’s reaches minus 8°C, with a chance of flurries and breezy conditions.

Overall, it’s a cold and blustery winter day, with wind making it feel colder across much of the province. Winter travel conditions may be reduced at times due to snow and blowing snow.
