Coastal Labrador Seniors’ Food and Heating Supplement Cheques Have Been Mailed

The province has issued cheques to eligible residents of the 2024 Coastal Labrador Seniors’ Food and Heating Supplement.

Delays can be expected in receiving the cheques while Canada Post makes efforts to stabilize delivery operations for rural and remote areas.

The annual $500 Coastal Labrador Seniors’ Food and Heating Supplement is available to seniors living in Coastal Labrador communities to help with the cost of food and heating. An application for the supplement is not necessary, but residents are required to file their 2023 income tax returns by December 31, 2024, to avail of the 2024 Coastal Labrador Seniors’ Food and Heating Supplement.
