Exploits Search & Rescue/ Facebook

The search continues for two men who went missing while hunting for sea birds in the Lawrence Harbour area.

The men are believed to have departed Lawrence Harbour in a 14-foot aluminum boat around noon on November 13.

A cabin the men were believed to be staying at has been checked and showed signs that the men were there; however, there have been no reported sightings of the pair since November 13.

The Canadian Coast Guard discovered the boat overturned yesterday along with their belongings.

The search involved multiple vessels including the CCGS Conception Bay, CCGS Alfred Needler, Coast Guard Auxiliary and other local volunteer vessels, a CAF CH-149 Cormorant Helicopter, a C-130 Hercules Aircraft, and Exploits Ground Search and Rescue are also assisting.
