Christopher Mitchelmore Not Seeking Re-election #nlpoli

Christopher Mitchelmore announced on Wednesday afternoon that he will not be seeking re-election.

Mitchelmore is the MHA for St. Barbe-L’anse aux Meadows.

His decision to leave politics because he wishes to pursue other career opportunities and looks to start a family outside of public life.

On Facebook, he says that he will continue to serve as MHA for St. Barbe-L’anse aux Meadows until the call of the next general election.

When Premier Furey announced his Cabinet, Mitchelmore was not appointed to a Minister position.
