Cardinal Roadhouse brand chicken burgers have been recalled because they contain egg that is not declared on the label.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency issued the recall Friday, Aug. 21, citing an undeclared egg allergen.
The affected product is Cardinal Roadhouse Chicken Burgers, sold in a 852-gram package containing six 142-gram burgers.
The recalled product has UPC 0 63351 01567 3 and the code 2026 NO 17.
The products were distributed in British Columbia, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Ontario.
The CFIA is advising consumers not to use the recalled product. Retailers, restaurants and other businesses are also being told not to sell, serve or distribute it.
People with an egg allergy could experience a serious or potentially life-threatening reaction if they consume the affected product.
Consumers who have the recalled chicken burgers should check the package against the listed UPC and code and dispose of the product or return it to the place of purchase.
