One lane of Route 340 closed due to collision

The RCMP in Twillingate responded to a motor vehicle collision on Route 340 (Road to the Isles), near the turnoff for Route 345 on Sunday evening.

One lane of the highway is closed, with traffic moving through the area in alternating directions.

There is a detour available for smaller, passenger vehicles only. Larger commercial vehicles should stay on Route 340. All motorists should expect delays and must follow all directions from police and other emergency responders.
