Changes coming to visitor restrictions in Long Term Care and Acute facilities

There are some changes to support person and visitor restrictions at all provincially operated acute care facilities, health centres and long-term care homes, as well as privately operated long-term care homes, personal care homes and community care homes.

As of this Friday, March 4, each patient or resident can have two visitors at a time and these individuals do not have to be the same two support persons or visitors.

Under the new guidance patients and residents will be permitted to have multiple visitors and support persons, however, only two can visit at the same time.
