Canadian Forces Asked to Assist in Ontario Long-Term Care Homes

Ontario Premier Doug Ford announced that he is requesting members of The Canadian Forces to be deployed to long-term care homes in the province to assist staff in dealing with COVID-19.

These members that are being deployed do have medical training.

The personnel will be sent to homes that have been deemed a “priority” Ford said.

About 125 members of The Canadian Forces have already been deployed to long-term care homes in Quebec.

They are assisting in the locations that have been the hardest hit.
