The Canadian Coast Guard is delivering goods to portions of southwestern Newfoundland that were cut off when roads washed out from a storm last week.
With the deployment of a Bell 412 helicopter along with members of the Canadian Armed Forces, the Government of Canada is providing support following a request from the provincial government.
Repairs have been made on the Trans-Canada Highway in southwestern Newfoundland to allow traffic to flow as of today at two of the four damaged areas. Repairs are continuing in other areas.
