Business owner detains man with weapon

On Sunday morning, the RNC responded to a business in the west end of St. John’s regarding a report of property damage.

At the time of the call, the business owner had a male suspect detained.

The 37-year-old male was arrested and charged with mischief, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, breach of a release order, and breach of weapon prohibition.

He was held to appear in Provincial Court this morning.
