Burin Peninsula RCMP investigates suspicious car fire

Mounties on the Burin Peninsula are investigating a suspicious car fire that happened while the vehicle was parked at the Anglican Church in Marystown.

During the early evening hours of March 31, police received the report and attended the scene.

The Marystown Volunteer Fire Department also responded and extinguished the fire.

Police learned that the vehicle was left unattended at the church for a number of weeks and suspect the fire was intentionally set.

The investigation is continuing.
