Andrew Furey Stepping Down

Premier Andrew Furey has announced he will be stepping down as Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador.

There is no news on whether or not this resignation takes immediate effect.

The party will now start a leadership race.

Furey became premier on August 19, 2020. On October 6, 2020, Furey won the by-election in Humber-Gros Morne. He is also an orthopedic surgeon.
