Bonavista RCMP investigates significant theft from commercial site off Route 236

RCMP in Bonavista is investigating a theft that occurred at a commercial work site located on Stock Cove Access Road, off Route 236 between Port Rexton and Knights Cove.

The theft occurred sometime between November 10 and 13.

Approximately 2000 litres of diesel were stolen, along with quantities of oil and antifreeze, various hand tools, and gas cans.

Police suspect residents in the surrounding communities likely may have seen activity related to this crime due to the significant quantity of fuel stolen and the transportation efforts to move the fuel from this location.
