Bonavista District RCMP lifts Shelter-In-Place order for Catalina

UPDATE:
A Shelter-In-Place for the community of Catalina is being lifted, as police continue to search for 31-year-old Tyler Linthorne, wanted by police for criminal charges of assault, kidnapping, uttering threats and flight from police.
Linthorne is described as 6 ft tall, approximately 175 lbs with brown hair and blue eyes. If spotted residents are advised not to approach and call 9-1-1 immediately.
Clarenville-Bonavista District RCMP advises that although the Shelter-In-Place is being rescinded Catalina, area residents can expect to see an increased police presence is in the community as the investigation continues.
EARLIER STORY:
Clarenville-Bonavista District RCMP is asking all residents to shelter in place, as they respond to a report of an active criminal threat along Route 237 near the community of Catalina. An Alert Ready message has been distributed to the community.
Please lock your doors, shelter in place and stay away from windows.
