Body recovered at Sunshine Camp in St. John's

A tragic end to the search for a missing swimmer at Sunshine Camp in St. John's.

On Friday afternoon the swimmer was reported missing.

The 19-year-old female was deceased when she was found.

RNC, the St. John's Regional Fire Department, Portugal Cove-St. Philip's Fire Department, Sea Force Diving, Rovers GSAR, and the City of St. John’s assisted in the search.

The park was closed at 1:00 am and was reopened at 11:00 am this morning.
