Blast scheduled to take place at Robin Hood Bay
There is a blast scheduled to take place at Robin Hood Bay on Wednesday at 8:00 am.
Originally the blast was scheduled to take place on December 18 but it was re-scheduled due to poor weather conditions.
The blast will take place at the east end of the landfill site in the quarry area. The purpose of the blast is for rock production as part of a recent contract awarded to Capital Ready-Mix.
Marshalls will be stationed along the East Coast Trail to inform hikers who may be in the area at the time.
The public is asked to avoid this area on Wednesday morning.
