On Tuesday an RCMP officer in the Bay St. George area was kept busy seizing three vehicles.

An officer stopped a known prohibited driver operating a truck on the Main Road in Lourdes.

The 39-year-old man, who is prohibited from driving Canada-wide due to an impaired driving conviction, immediately placed the truck in park, exited the vehicle and fled on foot in the woods.

He returned to the vehicle a short time later and was arrested for driving while prohibited.

About an hour later the same officer was on patrol in Lourdes and stopped a truck for having a licence plate attached that belonged to a different vehicle. The driver, a 45-year-old man, was driving while suspended and the vehicle was not insured.

Later that afternoon, the same officer was on patrol in Ship Cove and stopped a car for having an expired registration. The driver, an 83-year-old man, was driving while suspended.
