Bay St. George RCMP have arrested a 32-year-old man in connection with a retail theft in Stephenville.
Police say officers responded Tuesday, Jan. 13, to a report of theft from a store on Prince Rupert Drive. A store employee reported that a man known to staff had left the store with unpaid merchandise and provided a description to police.
The suspect, a man from Mattis Point, was located and arrested a short time later.
