Bay Roberts RCMP Arrest 2 Teens for Break and Enter


Two teenagers from Bay Roberts area were taken into custody following a break and enter into a residence in Shearstown.

On Tuesday morning, Bay Roberts RCMP responded to a report of suspicious activity near the Shearstown Community Centre. Officers attended the area and determined that an unoccupied home, that was under construction, was entered and a quantity of tools were stolen from inside.

The investigation led to the arrest of the two youth, who now face charges of break and enter, theft under $5000.00, and possession of break-in tools. The two were released to their parents and will appear in court at a later date.

Police recovered all of the stolen property and returned it to the homeowner. The investigation is continuing.
