Bay Roberts increases some permit fees in 2026 budget

The Town of Bay Roberts has released its budget of $10,624,351.76 for 2026.

There will be no change in the Residential and Commercial Property Tax Mill Rates and no change in the Residential and Commercial Water and Sewer rates.

Changes have been made to the business tax structure and classifications. The tax collection deadline is March 31, after which time interest will be calculated on all outstanding taxes.

There has been an increase in some Residential Permit fees and some Commercial Permit fees, and Commercial Water and Sewer Hook up.

No increases were announced in user rates for the stadium and outdoor recreation facilities.

By the numbers, $3.32 million will be invested in Public Works, Sanitation, and Water and Sewer services. $1.63 million is to be invested in Recreation, including Bay Arena, recreation programs, outdoor facilities, and events. $912,407 invested in Economic Development and Tourism, and $618,352 invested in Protection and Safety services.
