Bay du Nord Development Project clears environmental assessment process

The Bay du Nord Development Project has been released from the Government of Canada’s environmental assessment process.

Federal Environment Minister Steven Guilbeault has approved the project.

The Bay du Nord project would result in an estimated resource of 300 million barrels of light crude oil in the Atlantic Ocean.

Newfoundland and Labrador's oil and gas industry has among the lowest GHGs per barrel in the world.
