Bay d'Espoir Highway reopens to through traffic

The Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture advises that both lanes of the Bay d'Espoir Highway have been opened to through traffic this morning.

The road was closed again overnight as crews continue to battle the wildfire in the area.

As of this morning's update, the fire is listed as out of control and the province has one helicopter, six pump units, and 20 personnel on site.

The fire risk in the area is low today.
