Basilica smeared with red paint

The Basilica in St. John's was smeared with red paint on Thursday. The paint was smeared on the doors and the word "Guilty" was written in the front of the building.

Similar things have happened at churches across Canada recently. An apparent form of protest in the role churches played in the residential school system.

The paint has since been cleaned up.
