Back-to-school plan released


The provincial government unveiled the back-to-school plan in King’s Point this morning.


On September 8 if the risk remains low, students will return to classrooms with full attendance, there will be no blended learning.


Cohorts and physical distancing will no longer be required. Wearing a mask is encouraged but not required. Extracurricular activities can resume, additionally, community use of schools will be permitted.


Kindergarten students can have parents attend on the first day.


Cleaning and screening procedures will be maintained.


Should the COVID-19 situation change or there is a case in a school, it could only impact a classroom or school.
