Avalon East District RCMP execute search warrant at Witless Bay home; three individuals arrested, drugs seized

Three individuals were arrested on Wednesday after a police search of a Witless Bay residence resulted in the seizure of illicit drugs and cash, consistent with trafficking activity.

On November 19, 2025, police officers with RCMP Avalon East District, including Ferryland and Holyrood detachments, executed a search warrant authorized under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act at a residence on Gull Pond Road.

Inside the home, police located and seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, cash and a number of items and paraphernalia consistent with drug trafficking activity.

The investigation is continuing and will include a laboratory analysis of the substances seized. Charges against the three individuals — a 52-year-old man, a 56-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman all of Witless Bay — are anticipated.
