Authorities seek information on Moose Poaching Incident Near Codroy Pond
Enforcement officers with the Department of Fisheries, Forestry and Agriculture is seeking information related to a moose poaching incident near the Codroy Pond area in Western Newfoundland.
The moose was killed approximately two kilometres east of Codroy Pond near the Trans-Canada Highway. The moose had been shot and left, and likely killed on Monday, September 23.
Officers continue to seek information about two other recent poaching incidents in the area. An illegally harvested moose is believed to have been shot on the roadway in the St. David’s area on the morning of September 18. A dead bull moose, likely killed during the period from September 14-16, was shot and left approximately six kilometres in the Black Duck Siding Resource Road.
