Atlantic International Film Festival date announced

The Atlantic International Film Festival announces will hold a full festival program in Halifax, NS from September 14 to 21.

The 43rd Atlantic International Film Festival will showcase 115 feature and short films at Halifax’s Cineplex Cinemas Park Lane.

“Celebrating innovative and exciting talent and newly defined programming streams, festival goers will have close to 90 opportunities to watch world-class cinema together on the big screen,” says Lisa Haller, AIFF Director of Programming. “Comedy, thrillers, art house, and classic films; first time directors and auteurs - the festival is excited to showcase a diverse lineup with 64% of the entire selection Canadian, and 57% by female-identifying directors.”

For those outside Halifax, select Atlantic Canadian features and shorts will be available to stream via AIFF Online from September 14-24, giving online patrons an extra three days after the in-person festival is over to catch up on any films they may have missed. Tickets can be purchased for individual feature films, while the shorts can be accessed with the AIFF Online Shorts Pass.
