UPDATED: Three people taken to hospital, one with serious injuries following dramatic crash in Mount Pearl, Wednesday evening

A three-vehicle collision in Mount Pearl sent at least two people to hospital with unknown injuries Wednesday evening.

Emergency crews responded to reports of the crash on Topsail Road, between Corisande Drive and Thomas Byrne Drive, Shorty after 6:30 p.m., Upon arrival, Fire crews found two vehicles that had collided in a head-on collision, while the other vehicle involved had rolled over its side. Officers with the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary (RNC) Collision analyst attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

A portion of Topsail Road was closeasgor roughly three hours to allow police to conduct thier investigation.
