At least one person was taken to hospital following a collision in St. John’s on Wednesday

Firefighters were called to the intersection of Columbus Drive and Mundy Pond Road at around 12:10 p.m. on Wednesday for reports of a collision.

When firefighters arrived, a two-vehicle collision at the intersection had caused some traffic disruptions in the area. Two people were assessed by paramedics on scene, and at least one of them was taken to the hospital. Both people appeared not to have any serious injuries.

A portion of the intersection was closed to allow emergency personnel to work the collision. Both vehicles sustained moderate to significant damage.
