At least one person was taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle collision in St. John’s on Thursday.
Firefighters were called to Columbus Drive between Bay Bulls Road and Pitts Memorial Drive at around 6:40 p.m. on Thursday. When crews arrived, a two-vehicle collision had a portion of traffic slowed on Columbus Drive.
Firefighters attended to the injured until paramedics could arrive; at least one person was taken to the hospital following the collision, and another person was assessed by paramedics on scene. No serious injuries were reported.
A cat who was also reportedly in one of the vehicles at the time of the crash is unaccounted for.
Traffic in the area was slowed for some time as emergency personnel attended the scene. Both vehicles involved sustained moderate to significant damage.
