At least one person was sent to hospital following a a two vehicle collision in the West-End of St.John’s on Thursday

At least one person was sent to hospital following a two vehicle crash on Blackmarsh Road on Thursday.


Firefighters with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department responded to a report of a two vehicle crash on Blackmarsh Road between Mercers Lane and Blackler Avenue just before 2:10 p.m. on Thursday.


The nearby Fire Station located only feet away from where the collision happened were first to arrive on scene and assessed the scene.


At least one vehicle involved had significant damage, the other vehicle involved went through a fence and stoped after it collided with a pice of heavy equipment in the City of St. John’s Depot parking lot, it is unknown if that person went to hospital.


Blackmarsh Road between Blackler Avenue and Mercers Lane were closed for some time as police investigated and waited for a tow truck to arrive on scene.


It is unknown what the extent of the injuries are or what caused the collision.
