At least one person was sent to hospital after a SUV plunged into a body of water in Goulds, Sunday night

At around 10:00 PM on November 10 2024, Emergency crews were called to the intersection of Petty Harbour Rd and Crockers Rd for reports of a vehicle that had went into a body of water. Upon arrival the vehicle that had went through a guard rail and then plunged into Second Pond. It is unknown if there are any injuries at this time.

At the time of the accident there was black ice on parts of the road it is unclear if that did cause the accident.

One person on the scene said “it’s not the first time this has happened here, she is lucky she made it”
