Armed Robbery Suspect Arrest in Corner Brook Shortly After Robbery



On Tuesday the RNC responded to a report of an armed robbery at a store in the Curling area of Corner Brook.


A suspect entered the business and presented a weapon while demanding cash and cigarettes.


The suspect obtained cash and cigarettes and then exited the building and fled the area prior to police arrival.


A short time later the suspect was located and arrested by police within the Curling area of the city.


There were no injuries during the incident and the stolen property was recovered.


As a result, a 19-year-old male resident of Corner Brook has been charged with Armed Robbery, Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to the Public and Disguise with Intent to Conceal Identity during the Commission of an Offence and Breach of a Release Order.


The accused will appear in Provincial Court on March 18.
