Armed Forces to conduct dives near Bell Island

Joint Task Force Atlantic will be conducting underwater unexploded explosive ordnance removal from the four Bell Island Shipwrecks beginning on Monday and continuing until July 30.

The Fleet Diving Unit Atlantic, based at CFB Halifax will conduct the removal.

This is the second time in three years they have worked to remove the explosives. Bad weather prevented the complete removal the last time.
