Newfoundland and Labrador is set to host an international gathering of aquaculture industry leaders next month as the Cold Harvest Conference & Trade Show comes to St. John’s.

The conference runs Sept. 15 to 17 at the Jag Hotel and is being hosted by the Newfoundland and Labrador Aquaculture Industry Association in partnership with the Aquaculture Association of Canada.

The event brings together representatives from industry, government, academia and technology companies to discuss innovation, research and the future of seafood farming in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The three-day program includes technical sessions, keynote presentations and panel discussions, along with a trade show covering the aquaculture value chain.

Organizers expect delegates from across Canada, the United States, Europe and New Zealand.

The conference is intended to provide an opportunity for industry members and researchers to share developments in aquaculture while examining challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
