Applications Opened for 2026 Summer Employment Program for Students

The provincial government opened applications for the 2026 Summer Employment Program for Students, inviting eligible non-profit, private-sector employers and municipalities to apply for funding.

Applications were being accepted earlier than in previous years to allow for faster processing and approvals ahead of student summer break periods.

The program provides funding to help employers create summer job opportunities for students across Newfoundland and Labrador.

Applications were set to close Thursday, Feb. 19, 2026.
