Non-profit organizations serving youth in Newfoundland and Labrador can now apply for provincial funding aimed at supporting programs that promote skill development, mentorship and social inclusion.
The provincial government announced that applications are open for the 2026-27 Grants to Youth Organizations program, which provides financial support to not-for-profit groups working with youth between the ages of 12 and 29.
The program is designed to fund innovative projects that create opportunities for young people through leadership development, community engagement, inclusion and accessibility initiatives, and intergenerational connections.
According to the Department of Social Supports and Well-Being, priority may be given to projects that support marginalized youth, promote mental health and physical activity, address food security challenges, or provide education related to sexual exploitation and gender-based violence.
A total of $276,500 is available through the program this year, with eligible organizations able to receive up to $30,000 each.
Organizations interested in applying can access application forms and updated program guidelines through the provincial government's Grants to Youth Organizations program. Applications must be submitted by email to SSWBGrantPrograms@gov.nl.ca no later than July 10.
