The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador is now accepting applications for its Home Heating Supplement Program for residents who use furnace or stove oil to heat their homes.

The program, which is designed to help offset home heating costs, will remain open for applications until Jan. 15, 2027.

Eligible applicants may receive a supplement ranging from $200 to $500. To qualify, residents must have had an adjusted family income of $150,000 or less in 2025 and must have directly paid for the purchase of furnace or stove oil used to heat their principal residence.

The province is encouraging applicants to ensure all required information is included to avoid delays in processing. Applications must include proof of purchase showing the delivery address and confirming the purchase of at least 250 litres of furnace or stove oil. Applicants are also reminded to sign their application and verify that their social insurance number is correct before submitting.

Residents can apply through the provincial government's online Home Heating Supplement Program portal.

Those requiring help with the application process can contact the program by phone at 709-729-4645 or toll-free at 1-844-729-4645. Additional information is available by email at OilSupplement@gov.nl.ca.
