The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has officially opened applications for the 2025-26 Community Transportation Program, offering funding to support accessible and inclusive transportation initiatives across the province.
Paul Pike, Minister of Children, Seniors and Social Development, announced the call for applications yesterday, inviting incorporated municipalities, not-for-profit organizations, and Indigenous governments and communities to apply for grants of up to $100,000. The funding aims to help develop, implement, and assess community-based transportation programs that address barriers to transportation access.
“Transportation is essential for accessing vital services and participating in social and community activities,” said Pike. “Through this program, we are committed to improving accessibility, affordability, and inclusivity in community transportation services.”
For the 2025-26 fiscal year, the Provincial Government has allocated $300,000 to the program. Interested organizations can find program guidelines and application details online. The deadline to apply is June 2.
